Only a Month After Selling at Auction, a Trophy Miami Penthouse Hits the Market

By April 13, 2022September 16th, 2022No Comments

Though it sold at a public auction last month for about $20.5 million, a luxury triplex penthouse in the Miami-Dade neighborhood of Sunny Isles Beach has now popped up on the open market, this time asking nearly $34 million. The apartment features just under 11,000 square feet of interior space, plus a terrace/rooftop deck that an additional 6,000 square feet. There’s a pneumatic vacuum glass elevator that rises to the rooftop, where you’ll find a “sky bar” and a cascading waterfall into a private lap pool. (Yes, the pneumatic glass elevator uses the same principles as those sending money around Costco or your local bank branch.)

The private pool and glass elevator, not to mention the sky bar, are just the beginning of the OTT amenities in the six-bedroom spread. The penthouse is listed with Mark Pordes and Adam Kaufman, of Legacy Development Sales & Marketing, who are also the investors in the property.

Inside, other lavish amenities include a $100,000 bar made from a single slab of amethyst stone; a cantilevered stone staircase in the great room, which also boasts a chandelier with 225 glass pendants that emulate rain during the day and constellations at night; two master suites with wet bars; and an entertainment wing with an 1,100-square-foot game room and home theater. The master suite itself spans 1,500 square feet of Calacatta Gold stone. Still not relaxed enough? Elsewhere in the apartment are also a massive steam room and sauna, a hydrotherapy Jacuzzi tub, and a towel-warming wall. Oh, and help yourself to something from the 500-bottle wine cellar.

Tired of being indoors? Head on up (via the pneumatic elevator, of course) to the sky lounge. There you’ll find a “summer” kitchen, bar, and pool cabana, in addition to the pool and retractable roof. On a clear day, you can see forever, or supposedly at least to the Bahamas.

Getting lonely up there? Go visit the private beach or the oceanfront infinity pool. Make an appointment at the spa and dump the little darlings in the children’s playroom. There’s also a pool deck with six different pools, in case that neighbor you hate is lurking around. Or meet up for drinks in the champagne bar with fellow complex resident Lionel Messi. Quite literally, the sky is the limit with this penthouse.
